Pursuant to Article II of our chapter bylaws concerning legislative issues it states:   

• To promote the aims of the national Military Officers Association of America  (MOAA) as stated in the preamble to the bylaws of the Association.     
• To further the legislative and other objectives of the national Military Officers Association of America and the MOAA Florida Council of Chapters (FCoC).

Our chapter is located within the 11th Congressional District.  Each year we educate our Congressman and/or staff members in the legislative goals of the national MOAA organization.  This is done during the August congressional recess and other activities throughout the year.  National MOAA and the MOAA Florida Nature Coast Chapter membership is limited to currently serving, retired or fomrer officers of the eight uniformed services. However, we recognize the responsibility that legislation should impact the benefits and well being of all uniformed services members, their dependents or surviving spouses regardless of their rank or grade. 

Our chapter educates our members through a Legislative Column in our chapter newsletter, the Bugler, and also through Bugler Flash emails on important subjects that need an immediate "Take Action" response.
